Joanne Graham, Ph.D.Joanne Graham, Ph.D., is therapeutic area director of oncology at Decision Resources. Dr. Graham has expertise in a number of solid cancer indications including prostate cancer, colorectal cancer and breast cancer. She has 25 years of experience in cancer drug development gained in academia and at Vertex Pharmaceuticals, AstraZeneca and Quintiles working on a wide range of drug classes. More recently, Dr. Graham worked as a business development executive for Cancer Research Technology, a specialist technology transfer organization. She has a B.Sc. (Hons) from London and a Ph.D. in cancer drug development from the University of Newcastle and has published several peer-reviewed papers in this area.

Kate HohenbergKate W. Hohenberg, is a vice president and the principal director for the Emerging Markets service at Decision Resources. Her broad range of knowledge and expertise encompasses market assessment for numerous disorders. Prior to joining Decision Resources, Ms. Hohenberg was an assistant editor at the Journal of the American Medical Association. She earned a B.A. from William Smith College and an M.A. from Northwestern University.

Michael Hughes, Ph.D.Michael Hughes, Ph.D., is principal epidemiologist at Decision Resources. He has led the development of numerous methodological and product development efforts, including Decision Resources’ oncology patient flow models. Prior to joining the company, he worked as a research fellow and project manager for the National Institute for Health and Clinical Excellence (NICE) in London. He has published systematic reviews in the area of atrial fibrillation and is an active member of the following organizations: American Heart Association, ISPOR, American College of Chest Physicians (ACCP) and the ACCP guideline development committee for stroke prevention. Dr. Hughes received his doctorate in the area of mathematical modeling in medicine in 2003 from City University, London.

Kate Keeping Kate Keeping is a principal analyst for Decision Resources’ commercial research suite, Pharmaview, which analyzes the commercial and therapeutic strategy of the leading biopharmaceutical companies. She has primary responsibility for the oncology and hematology therapeutic areas, as well as coverage of several large-cap European companies. Ms. Keeping previously served as deputy managing editor of Thomson Pharma’s news team, and was an editor for the drug-tracking database Pharmaprojects and a freelancer for Scrip Reports. She has a Bachelor of Science degree in medical science.

Andrew Merron, Ph.D.Andrew Merron, Ph.D., is the Biosimilars Advisory Service product director at BioTrends. Prior to managing the Biosimilars Advisory Service, Dr. Merron was a senior analyst in the oncology department at Decision Resources. He has extensive experience in forecasting oncology and hematology-oncology drug markets as well as considerable experience in conducting primary research with physicians and payers across the major pharmaceutical markets. Through his analyses, Dr. Merron identifies key market findings and highlights their strategic importance. Prior to joining Decision Resources, Dr. Merron received his B.Sc. in biochemistry from the University of Bath and his Ph.D. in molecular oncology from the University of London. His doctorate focused on in vivo molecular imaging of cancer gene therapies, specifically oncolytic adenoviruses.

Michaela Miller, M.B.A.Michaela Miller, M.B.A., is vice president of Consulting at Decision Resources Group, where she is focusing on strategy development, product life cycle planning and market and technology analysis. Ms. Miller’s work includes opportunity assessment of innovative drug development strategies, and focuses on developments in the area of personalized medicine. Based on her 10-year experience as a consultant in the in-vitro diagnostic (IVD) industry, she focuses on exploring opportunities in bridging the development of targeted therapeutics and companion diagnostic tests. Prior to joining Decision Resources, Ms. Miller served as senior vice president at Boston Biomedical Consultants, Inc. where she led planning initiatives and supported Fortune 500 companies in their strategic decision making. Ms. Miller led the company’s diabetes franchise and supported Europe-based IVD companies across multiple technology areas.

Dan Winkelman, M.Sc.Dan Winkelman, M.Sc., is a therapeutic class director in the Oncology division of BioTrends. Prior to joining BioTrends, he was a senior market research manager at Cephalon in its Oncology business unit. Mr. Winkelman is a healthcare marketing specialist with more than 18 years of experience in a wide range of pharmaceutical positions including sales representative, competitive intelligence, business development, product management and market research. He earned a Master of Science in International Marketing at Strathclyde University in Glasgow, Scotland and a degree in Business Administration with a major in Management from Southern Connecticut State University. Mr. Winkelman is also an adjunct professor of healthcare industry marketing in the management division of the Penn State Great Valley School of Graduate Professional Studies.
